A surreal film about a man stranded in a corner of an industrial wasteland who envisions his surroundings as an island in the ocean. It is a narrative and a world constructed through a plethora of inspirational sources; Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness, David Lynch's Erasurehead, Warner Brother's Cartoons, Punk and specifically music by The Police, Francis Ford Coppola's film Rumblefish, Charlie Chaplin films, German Expressionism, Avant Garde photography, Hieronymus Bosch, Eadweard Muybridge and the history of early cinema. Soon after the making of this film the trains, which ran up and down from San Francisco to San Jose in California changed from the old black trains to new silver trains.
