I lived with this project for a solid six to seven years. It was put together through chapters which were, in a way, color coded. I was teaching at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco at the time and bringing in images and footage that I was creating to show to students as a teaching tool, showing an approach to story, mise en scene, acting styles and special effects.
In this photograph, I wanted to capture myself within a style of dress and hair that you might have found me in in the late 1970s and early 1980s - green corduroy jacket and pants, earth-tone shirt, stills film camera and somewhat Beatles haircut and moustache.
