I think storyboarding is an artform of its self. It is really the first step in getting the visual language of a scene or the change of shape or image that we will see on the screen. Storyboards are really about the story of course. The storyboards are where visual storytelling can really be thought out - pure cinema, as Hitchcock said. The storyboard form, as in the rows and the frames and cells, all these things have made it into my visual art. Storyboards inform my visual art - my paintings and drawings.
